Opening the temple…

Marble Temple: a free marble shooter with tower defense

Tap or click to throw marbles into the chain rolling along the temple road, and match three of a color to pop them before the lead marble reaches the temple mouth. Between waves, spend the Aether your matches earn on ballistae, frost obelisks and walls that make the chain take the long way, and hold five waves to open the next of sixteen shrines.

Marble Temple plays in your browser on a phone or a computer, with no account and no download, and your progress stays on this device.

How to play

On a computer, aim with the mouse and click to throw. Press Space or click Marbleback, the stone gorilla, to swap in your next marble. On a phone, press and drag to aim, let go to throw, and tap Marbleback to swap.

Three or more touching marbles of one color pop. If the gap closes on matching colors, the halves snap together and can pop again as a cascade for multiplied points.

Every pop fills the temple bar. Once it is full, no more marbles enter, and clearing the rest holds the wave. You then get ten seconds to build before a bigger, faster wave. Hold five waves to open the next shrine for good. The run ends when the lead marble reaches the temple mouth, or when you stand down between waves to bank your score.

Towers and walls

Matches earn Aether, the only currency. Press Build, or B, to spend it on one of six works:

Works on the road make it bend around them, which buys time to shoot.
